ResQ (OEM Cart/box)(Genesis)

Synopsis

ResQ is an unreleased Sega Genesis developed by Tempest Software and set to be published by Psygnosis. It is a 2D action game with both space ship and on-foot segments where you are on a mission to RESQ trapped civilians. Had it been released, ResQ would have been an exclusive title for the Mega Drive.

Psygnosis cancelled ResQ very close to release for unknown reasons despite being in a complete state and with box art already designed. Notably, ResQ's bonus stages are depicted as third-person on-the-rails shooting segments which involve primitive 3D polyons, similar to the Super Nintendo's Star Fox. The game has been heralded by many gaming Youtubers as a lost (but now found) gem worth playing. The gameplay is noted to be fun with top-tier graphics and the 3D spaceship stages are praised for how close they were able to get to Starfox without the help of any additional chips.
