Cases are new and OEM-style (nearly identical to the original). Art inserts and manuals use high quality materials (as close to the original as possible) and are professionally printed. ADDITIONAL DETAILS

DISC QUALITY

Our reproduction games are burned on the highest quality media in production today. By using high-quality media, your game will play with increased reliability (especially with old lasers) and will have thousands of replays before the disc wears out. Some shops use cheaper generic-brand discs resulting in reading problems and a reduced number of replays.

JEWEL CASE QUALITY

We use only brand-new OEM-style jewel cases. These are nearly indistinguishable from the OEM cases. When purchasing multi-disc titles, we do stock the special cases able to hold multiple discs.

REPRODUCTION ART/INSERTS

Having experienced poor quality reproductions as consumer, we’ve made it a point to use only high-quality photo paper which closely replicates the OEM. Covers are the appropriate thicker stock as well.

REPRODUCTION MANUALS

Our rendition of the stock manuals comes with OEM style glossy cover and pages to best replicate the originals. The manual is in color where the original is and black/white accordingly.

NOTES: 1. We do not include the Warranty Card, 2. To see what pages are included, view the PDF uploaded at segaretro.org. 3. The page paper of Dreamcast manuals is a unique thin stock that is not commercially available (only available to commercial print ships with the appropriate printing presses). As a result, some manuals are too “thick” to properly fit in the jewel case. In these instances, we provide a cover insert in the jewel case to replicate the look and provide the full manual separate from the case.

QUALITY CONTROL

As consumers, we discovered that many shops only test the disc image on their PC, and/or rely upon disc verification in their burner to determine if a burn is good. As a result, us and many others receive games which are faulty when played on original hardware. To avoid this most basic of problems, we test every single disc on OEM hardware before shipping out. While this can’t account for the nuances of individual old hardware units, we can eliminate most bad burns before they even leave our doors. Having trouble playing your game? LEGALITY OF REPRODUCTION DISCS

Sega Replay does not sell game ROMs but provides free backup copies for games preservation purposes in accordance with PUBLIC LAW 100-667—NOV. 16, 1988 and other related copyright laws. Additionally, by providing you with a reproduction, or "backup copy" of an original game disc, we assume you own an original, commercially produced copy of the title and are seeking a backup copy as a means of preserving your original software due to the limited amount of times a disc can be played before wearing out. Furthermore, Sega Replay only charges for the material, time, and effort to create your product, never the game code.

REQUIRED TO PLAY REPRODUCTIONS

By purchasing a reproduction game, you assume the responsibility for meeting the requirements set below for the console you are purchasing for:

SEGA CD – Only Sega CD units manufactured for the NTSC U/C (United States and Canada) region are compatible with our reproductions. If you are in a PAL Region or Japan you must contact us first so we can check for availability of the titles you desire. All reproductions are compatible with Sega CD Model 1, Model 2, CDX, and X’Eye.

SEGA SATURN – A “bypass cartridge” of some sort is required to play reproductions. We recommend the Pseudo Saturn Kai cartridge for this purpose. All reproductions are compatible with all regions and models of Saturn consoles.

SEGA DREAMCAST – In order to play reproduction titles, you must own a Dreamcast console produced BEFORE October 2000. While all reproductions should play with any region hardware, we only test on NTSC U/C (North America) hardware therefore cannot guarantee functionality in other regions.

By purchasing a backup reproduction disc, you are assuming responsibility for owning a Dreamcast able to play reproduction games. Only Dreamcasts produced before October 2000 for the NTSC U/C (US and Canada) are able to play these backups (To confirm this, simply look on the bottom side of your console and this information can be clearly discovered on the manufacturing label).

WARRANTY/RETURN POLICY

SHORT DESCRIPTION: We guarantee all products to arrive in working condition and be as described. If this condition is not met, we offer replacements for the same product, only. If the same product is not available, we will offer store credit or a refund. We DO NOT offer refunds or replacements for frivolous reasons, i.e., you don't like the content of a game, ordered the incorrect product, changed your mind, etc. Small businesses like ours simply cannot support such returns and remain fiscally viable. The following subjects detail the specifics of our policies.

SOFTWARE DEFECT - All reproduction software is guaranteed to work within the means prescribed in respective listings. If a game is found to be non-functional, contact us for troubleshooting and replacement if no solution can be found.

HARDWARE/PERIPHERAL DEFECT - All hardware including peripherals is guaranteed to function for a minimum of 30 Days unless otherwise explicitly stated. Any item which fails before 30 calendar days will be replaced, if possible, refunded if not. service@segareplay.com

DAMAGED IN TRANSIT - Depending upon the product, we may require the item to be returned before a replacement can be shipped. In the instance your product is an one-off item, we will offer store credit or a refund. Any order with a value of $100 USD or more must be submitted to a shipping insurance claim before a replacement or refund can be made (again, for one-off items only). We will handle this process but will not be able to replace or refund the product(s) until the insurance claim has been approved. service@segareplay.com

INCORRECT PRODUCT - If you receive a product other than what you ordered, simply contact us and we will send the correct product. service@segareplay.com

LOST IN TRANSIT - For all items of a value over 10 USD, we obtain and provide a tracking number. If a product becomes lost (as determined by the shipper, i.e. USPS, Fedex, etc), we will replace the item at no cost to the customer. If the item is marked as "delivered" but has not arrived, first, check with your neighbors, if not, please wait at least 5 business days for the errant item to arrive (we've found this to often be the case). If after that time has elapsed and the item hasn't arrived, we will consider the item lost and ship a replacement. Any order with a value of $100 USD or more must be submitted to a shipping insurance claim. We will handle this process but will not be able to replace or refund the product(s) until the insurance claim has been approved.

Refunds & Returns

Overview

Our refund and returns policy lasts 90 days unless otherwise indicated. You must contact us within these 90 days to be eligible to apply this policy. If 90 days have passed since your purchase, we do not offer any refund, exchange, or store credit, unless the item you purchased explicitly offered a different warranty period. For items that we produce or have in stock, only replacements will be issued.

Several types of goods are exempt from being returned as described in the original listing.

Additional non-returnable items:

Products sold “as is”.

To complete your return, you must be able to prove you are the original purchaser of the item. This can be done by providing a copy of the original purchase receipt or contacting us via the email registered with your SegaReplay.com account.

Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer.

There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted at the sole discretion of SegaReplay.com:

Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error.
Any item that is returned more than 90 days after delivery
Any item which was used with non-OEM hardware.

Refunds & Replacements

NOTICE: As explained in further detail below, we do accept returns or offer refunds for backup disc media. All discs are tested prior to shipping for quality assurance, but we cannot control the condition of 20+ year old lasers of retro consoles which can struggle to play non-OEM discs.

Refunds, exchanges, or store credit are only accepted if we are notified within 90 calendar days of the receipt of the product (as verified by the shipment tracking information). Unless otherwise indicated in a listing, we never accept returns or offer any type of reimbursement after the 90 day period has passed. The primary vehicle of our warranty is replacement. If your product is found to be defective by our testing upon receipt, a replacement of an identical item will be shipped back to the purchaser. Refunds are ONLY given when a defect is identified and we are not able to provide an exact replacement. Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If you are approved, you will be offered a cash refund, store credit, or replacement product, solely at our discretion. If a cash refund is offered and accepted by the customer, the refund will be processed with 5 business days, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method at your financial institutions convenience (we cannot guarantee the length of time it will take for your bank to return the payment to your account). In the instance of a store credit, the amount of the original purchase, minus the shipping cost, will added to your store account at segareplay.com within 5 business days. Should a replacement be offered and accepted by the customer, a replacement will be shipped out with 5 business days.

Software (New, unopened)

As we are unable to test new and unopened software, the buyer inherits the risk of a manufacturer defect being present. If returned within 90 Days, a credit for the SegaReplay.com shop will be issued for the purchase price of the software.

Software (Used)

Saroo carts and consoles are shipped directly from our supplier in China. We only offer replacements and under the following circumstances: 1. Product was damaged during shipping, 2. Received incorrect product not matching the listing, or 3. Product is found to have issues which prevent its proper use within 30 days of receipt.

Non-OEM Hardware

We test all non-sealed software and accessories for compatibility and function with OEM hardware only. We do not guarantee or warrant software and accessories for use with 3rd party hardware such as the PolyMega. Purchase for use with non-OEM hardware should be done at your own risk and will void this policy. We do not offer replacements or refunds for products purchased for use on 3rd Party hardware.

Late or missing refunds

If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.

Then contact your bank, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted and we are not able to influence the time it takes to become available.

If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund yet, please contact us at service@segareplay.com.

Sale items

Products purchased at a reduced rate will be refunded at the price purchased where returns are accepted.

Exchanges

We only replace items returned within the terms outlined in this policy. If you need to exchange it for the same item, contact us.

Gifts

If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a replacement or gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a store credit for the purchase price will be emailed to the address you provide.

If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and they will find out about your return.

Shipping returns

To return your product, you should mail your item(s) to the address provided when we reply to your initial inquiry.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you may vary.

If you are returning more expensive items, you may consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.

Product Never Received

If an ordered product never arrives, first check the tracking number we emailed you, which can also be located on your account pages under purchased products. If the item shows in transit but has not been received after 30 days, please contact us for a resolution. If the item was marked as delivered and you have not received it, please wait 3 business days to account for carrier mistakes before contacting us for a resolution. Products marked as delivered but never received are handled on a case-by-case basis and at the sole discretion of segareplay.com.
