Ghen War (OEM) (Saturn)

Ghen War is a game that I personally think is way underrated. I owned it back in the day and still do now. I replayed it in early 2025 and though it has a little learning curve... and no saving... it is very playable and a good time in my book. Something often forgotten is that this is one of the very first games on any platform that had real-time, destroyable terrain! Certainly adds some spice and it is definitely used as a gameplay mechanic! Try it out!

NOTE1: The manual has some very mild water damage at the top of the inside back cover (see pictures). The staples were rusted but were professionally replaced. However, a small amount of rust staining can be seen around the staple holes (though it's mostly not very noticeable see pictures.) Aside from those defects, the rest of pages are in very good condition and the warranty card is present.

Synopsis

Ghen War is a classic first-person shooter. The solar system is being attacked by an evil force of aliens known as Ghen. The player is a Lieutenant surface engineer in a hypersuit, and it is his task to boot these aliens out of your world in twenty levels. From the cockpit of this hypersuit, the character operates lasers, grenades, mines, missiles and more while making his way across planet surfaces and city environments protecting the human race. It also has a claw that can operate elements in the environment and can send out a decoy of itself to confuse opponents.

The game is also one of the first to feature deformable terrain. Explosions make craters and firing into the environment can make it wear away.
